I really need to make some definitive bookings for my winter travels. I have a train ticket to the east coast, but that is it. The rest of my 4-5 month journey is still a clutter of potentialities.
I usually travel with no pre-bookings or itineraries, but this time will be slightly different. I have some concrete plans that need at least a basic level of organization. Instead of freestyling it, I will have to be at a certain place at a certain time. Normally this would not be problematic.
In this case the entire process has been complicated by regional instability. I am not overly concerned about safety, but my Government does release travel advisories and restrictions which are important to follow. Similarly, the Government of my host nation could also restrict travel due to security concerns.
It is my hope that the trip will not be rendered impossible by the global situation. Part of my time was to be spent at a desert horticulture center learning how to build and maintain hydroponic systems. If I cannot make this specific segment of my trip work, its possible that I will scrap the entire plan and look at a different part of the world.
One way or another, I will get around to it soon(ish).
