If you are as old as I am then you probably remember Astronaut Ice Cream. I actually had a chance to try it on a school field trip once, and it was down right delicious. The cost though… oh my. I can’t pay more for a product that is simply not as good as the original fresh version. Free is one thing, but I wont break the bank on it.
Now to the question at hand: how much would you pay to go to the moon? For the astute reader I believe that I have already answered this question. Don’t get me wrong – riding a giant firecracker into orbit would certainly be fun! I am not the first to feel this way either, it is an enduring human dream.
Still, there is nothing I really want on the moon. I am more interested in preserving the best place in the galaxy for human life. The planet that created us, and which is and will always be our one true home. But hey, don’t let me rain on the parade, and do enjoy the astronaut ice cream!
