It was Christmas 2022 and I made a Facebook post that blew up (I disdain the term viral). By the end of the day I had over 4000 new friends. This changed the way I view and use social media accounts.
Before that post I used different platforms in different ways. Some were for staying in touch. Others for sharing creative work.
In terms of what I consume, I generally look for humor. There are some very funny people (and cats) on the internet. In my opinion comedy is the real gift!
There are many other good uses. Art, creativity, and there are some trustworthy experts who use it to help/inform others. Mostly for me its about the laughs. When it comes to news and information I prefer more traditional peer reviewed sources.
