I would begin by saying that it depends very much upon the type of time in question.
Have you ever been at a time and place in your life when you do not need or want to look at the clock? Would you want to live without the constant pressure of time weighing upon your every waking hour? Or do you thrive in fast paced dynamic environments?
At several points in my life I have found myself in nature for extended periods of time. I would rise with the sun, and rest in the moons shadow. There are still stressors, and care and attention is needed especially when alone in the wilderness. Even so, life at such times feels peaceful and relatively stress free.
I often return from my wild sabbaticals feeling and looking much younger than when I departed. In comparison to some of my peers, I can see how choices (lifestyle, career, companions) can indeed grant more time in the grand scheme of things. That is, a longer healthier life – barring unforeseen tragedy.
Perhaps more important is the quality time. If we are equating time to life (which I am) then there are some situations where more is less. It all comes down to quantity vs. quality. The most fortunate among us get both.
